We are delighted that the Dumfries & Galloway Standard has chosen us as their charity of the year. Four members of staff are running the Dumfries Half Marathon to raise cash for us, Stephen Temlett, Trish Lewis, Laura Semple and Charis Hannay are hitting the roads and training hard under the watchful guidance of Dumfries Running Club. Not only are the running club help prepare the team – they have also pledged £500 to kick start the fundraising.
The paper is running a weekly update on the training and the sum being raised. They are also writing about what we do as a charity and how we can help people affected by the death of a baby. This is a great opportunity for us to publicise what we do and how people can find us. Also of all the work we’ve done with Cresswell Maternity Hospital in helping parents create memories and improve their policies and guidelines on care following the death of a baby.
