D&G Sands Christmas Service
We held our annual service this year at the Crichton church on the 18th December. We held two services again, the first one being for families with small children and the second one for all families.
We were very fortunate to have the Troqueer School choir sing for us at the first service and Dumfries Male Voice Choir sang at the second. The Reverend Douglas Irving conducted the service beautifully, and shared his own personal experience of loss, which was touching.
We did our lighting of candles and placing of messages on the tree in memory of our babies’, with tags made by Shona and Chloe Dalton.
We then enjoyed tea, coffee and homemade shortbread, made by Sands volunteers. We would like to thank everyone for coming and making the service so moving, see you all next year.
