St. Michael’s Cemetery

 

D&G Sands are not affiliated to the petition currently on Facebook objecting to parents being asked to remove mementoes from the free ground at St. Michaels cemetery. We acknowledge the need for all losses to be treated equally. The nature of the common ground is such that it is impossible for everyone to have a memorial for their own baby buried there.

 

Hence we support the creation of a common memorial area for all babies buried at the site, where all parents can have the opportunity to have an individual plaque marking the fact that their baby is laid to rest there.
